Right in the middle of the charming Old Town of Palma de Mallorca, next to the famous Palacio Veri, you will find our charming and inspiring shop Flora Nordica Decoration Shop.
We offer you an individual selection of various design objects from Denmark & Scandinavia, vintage pieces from around the world, fine art photography from Stephan Feil, (a German Photographer and a good friend), who exclusively represent his nature photos on the island in the shop.
No matter for what reason you come from: You are very welcome for shopping, finding some inspiration for your home, consulting us with regards to your interior design projects you may have in mind, or for just having a little chat with us and a coffee, tea or cava and a chocolate bite…

FLORA DANICA Bedlinnen
Flora Danica builds on traditional Danish handicraft and design in 100% natural materials: light, fluffy down embraced by truly soft cotton.
Flora Danica is made exclusively in Denmark. Furthermore, the Flora Danica factory is the largest in Europe and has manufactured down duvets and pillows since 1947.
Flora Danica takes its inspiration from Simon Pauli’s book of the same name from 1648. Simon Pauli was a doctor, anatomist and botanist and worked as the physician for two Danish kings. He combined medicine and botany in the book, which contains approximately 400 plants and herbs for use in medical science.
Flora Danica’s duvets and pillow cases carry the names of these plants and will give you a good and healthy sleep. We offer this bedlinnen exclucivity in the shop in Palma.

KAY BOJESEN
Silversmith and designer Kay Bojesen had a very special talent. He was able to bring wood to life, and he became world-famous for creating wooden toys that had soul and an impish sense of humour. With more than 2000 pieces to his name, Kay Bojesen was one of Denmark’s most prolific artisans in the 20th century. He is best known for his playful and cheerful monkeys, royal life guards and other wooden toys, but his wide-ranging production also includes jewellery, cutlery, teapots and silver goblets.
Kay Bojesen graduated as a silversmith in 1910 after completing his apprenticeship with silversmith Georg Jensen. As one of the first Danish artisans to do so, he embraced functionalism. He was among the pioneers who organised Den Permanente association – a cooperative of artists that included a shop and exhibition space which over the decades came to represent the best in Danish and Scandinavian design.1919 became the start of a new era for Kay Bojesen. He got married and his son Otto was born. This sparked Kay Bojesen’s imagination and fascination for children, toys and wood and brought back memories of his own childhood when his father (the publisher Ernst Bojesen – the publisher of the Danish satirical annual Blæksprutten (The Octopus)) cut wooden figures for him and encouraged his children to be creative, imaginative and playful.

Flora Nordica is an Danish Design Shop in the Old Town of Palma de Mallorca.
Established in 2019 by Johnnie Kobbelgaard, a former Air Steward in Copenhagen and an enthusiastic traveller, Flora Nordica represents a very individual, carefully curated selection of both, modern Design Products, mostly from Denmark & Scandinavia, as well as a very rare and electic selection of fine Antiques, Vintage and Art from all over the world.
Johnnie Kobbelgaard, who for more than 11 years successfully owned and ran the renewed Finca Hotel Son Boronat near Calvia in Palma de Mallorca, also assists his clients when it comes to creating individual interiors, both for private houses and for public spaces.
